Warta, Łódzkie, Poland

Warta, Łódzkie, Poland, is characterized in a special way by the fact that as a large community with 68 scattered districts and a conceivably poor infrastructural starting point, it has started a developmental process with two main focuses and several smaller projects.

The two focal points relate to the main town of Warta with the creation of outdoor and indoor spaces for cultural and creative events as well as interesting tourist offers related to water sports in the Jeziorsko reservoir.

At the same time, the social life in the districts was promoted by many smaller projects in different areas. Building upon remarkable personal contributions, a large number of activities contributing to the local sense of identity could be realized and thus the village communities could be significantly strengthened.
