Ujazd, Opole, Poland, convinces with a process of renewal begun in 1997, which has triggered positive social developments. Numerous village renewal groups have emerged, which, in cooperation with the city of Ujazd, are successfully working to financially secure the village projects.

The economic development, promoted above all by the good connection to the motorway, but also the social- and housing policy, the broad cultural offer and the cultivated landscape cause a much higher attractiveness, which has resulted in a strongly decreased unemployment rate, slightly increasing numbers of inhabitants and first returnees.
